Ok, I've been on a real Star Wars rampage since a few weeks before EpIII came out... not necessarily in customs, just in collecting and such.

I've been buying the crap out of the Clone Troopers especially... and most notably, the Super-Articulated Clone Trooper. What a kick butt figure.

Anyhow, I've been seeing a lot of customs out there in Star Wars land, and here... and thought I'd give it a go after seeing the paint variations in the SW Visual Dictionary.

Specifically, I love the "battle damaged" paint schemes... and it looked like a lot of fun. And was it ever! This figure was a blast to repaint, and I did it over the course of two evenings... it's really easy to do, and it's also nice because the paint apps don't have to be "perfect," at least not to my own personal standards... I kinda did it quick, and cut some corners, knowing it would get all "damaged" when I was done. I'm quite happy with the results, and I plan to do many more in the future, including a 12" one (most likely a Commander Cody).

    Based on this pic:

    Here's mine:

    ShockTrooper1

    ShockTrooper2

    ShockTrooper3

    ShockTrooper4

    ShockTrooper5

...and no, I haven't finished any of the other SIXTEEN customs I have in progress... so shut up about them...

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I've thought about it... it's quite the investment - in time and money though... and my wife would tease me relentlessly.

I tried the same pose, but the gun (it's the same gun) isn't as long as it is in the picture... and his arms don't quite bend enough to pull it off the same.

    Thanks guys!

Plo - I plan to make a green one, blue, and a few others... including some originals. Also a 3 3/4" Commander Cody (the yellow one with visor), and a 12" cody, complete with Holo-Sidious in his palm.

And for ebay - yeah, I probably could sell it for a decent amount (a lot of Star Wars collectors seem to have DEEP pockets...) but, I usually make a point of not selling my customs (I did once when money was hard... and luckily, Maxcottica (Irish Spawn) bought it). These things are my babies... I make them for my collection.

Now you need one with a hole in his chest for Yoda to jump on!

Nice work! If only all the SW figures were painted as nicely!

I need to make some Clone repaints
